Robert Kulp
ROBERT KULP Robert L. Kulp, 82, a long time resident of Hatfield, passed away peacefully November 17, 2010 in his home. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 31 years, Doris (Hadem) Kulp, in 1996. Born in Souderton, he was a son the late of George and Sadie (Wimmer) Kulp. He graduated from Souderton High School in 1945. Mr. Kulp served in the Army during WWII, and continued a career of public service in Montgomery County as a Souderton Police Officer from 1950 to 1963, a County Detective from 1969 to 1981, and a District Justice in Lansdale and Towamencin from 1981 until his retirement in 1995. Judge Kulp was an avid golfer and enjoyed tennis. He was a member of the Sellersville Moose No. 1539 and the Fraternal Order of Police. Surviving are four children, Bobbie Ann Conolly of Souderton, Bruce W. Kulp and his wife, Joan, of Zionsville, Douglas K. Kulp and his wife, Melissa, of Freemansburg and Beth Ann Kulp and her husband, Dean, of Pennsburg. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, George and his wife, June, of Souderton; two sisters, Malvene Shelly and her husband, Robert, of Lansdale, and Joy Trumbore of Souderton; and nieces and nephews. Arrangements are private with Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Montgomery County Fraternal Order of Police, 3 Colwell Lane, Conshohocken, PA 19428. |
