James Ackroyd McCallion James Ackroyd "Jim" McCallion passed at home on October 1, 2008. Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1937, he attended Haver -ford Prep School and Pen State College before joining the Marine Corp in 1959 to 1961.He served on the USS Boxer.He joined the Lansdale, PA Police Department after the Marines, serving for 18 years with rank of Sergeant. He moved to Florida in 1985 and worked for the State of Florida, Child Support Enforcement and Corrections. He was an active member of Moose Lodge No. 1654 and Eagles Auxiliary No. 4028 in Naples. He was a member of Marine Corp League. He loved motorcycling and was a Life time member of Abate of Florida, Gator Alley Chapter. He will be missed by his wife Jenny; brother, Peter; sister Nancy; two children, daughter, Patty; son, Jim Jr; and four grandchildren. He will also be missed by his Dalmatian lil' Jimmy McBullet. His memorial celebration is pending. In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions in his memory to be made to Bikes for Tykes, c/o Bob Butcher, 1313 Opuntia Lane, Naples, FL 34105. |
