Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11:30 AM, Monday, March 3 at Central Schwenkfelder Church, Valley Forge Road, Worcester, where friends may call from 10 to 11:30 AM. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the ALS Association, 321 Norristown Road, Suite 260, Ambler, PA 19002, or Grand View Hospice, 700 Lawn Ave., Sellersville, PA 18960. Arrangements are by R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home Inc., of Skippack.

It is with deep sadness that Montgomery County Fraternal Order of Police announces the death of our brother Trustee Wayne “Butch” Cassel of Towamencin Twp.

Wayne died at his home on Tuesday February 26th after a courageous battle with Lou Gehrigs disease. Wayne was a retired Police Chief with Upper Gwynedd Twp and besides a Trustee with the FOP he was better known for his tireless work as the active membership and insurance chairman for the FOP.

Brother Cassel will be sorely missed and the Executive Board of the FOP asks that you keep Wayne’s family in your prayers.

Arrangements and further information will be posted as soon as they are received from the family.
