Retired Springfield Twp. police sergeant and lodge #14 member Gerald Edwards passed away on 2-16-08. A viewing will be held this Thursday 2-21-08 at St. Genevieve's church ( 1225 Bethlehem Pk. Flourtown) from 9AM till 10AM with a mass to follow, then interment at Holy Sepulchre in Cheltenham. Brother officers of Springfield Twp. P.D. will provide an honor guard for the viewing. Besides a stint in the Merchant Marines, and as a Philadelphia police officer, he retired after more than 25 years of service with the Springfield Twp. police as the traffic safety officer.
